Raymond Pinchbeck “Welcome Neighbors”

Pinchbeck Elementary School, located in the Tuckahoe Division, was named for Dr. Raymond B. Pinchbeck, who was chairman of the Henrico County School Board for eight years, and later Dean of the University of Richmond. Known for his radio news greeting, “Good Morning, Neighbors!,” students echo the same sentiment in morning announcements. The original mascot was the Pinchbeck Pelicans. The school mascot changed to Rays (rays of sun, derived from Raymond Pinchbeck) on Pinchbeck’s 25th anniversary.
